An assistant general manager with the Milwaukee Brewers is listed among 20 candidates for a position with the Angels.
The Los Angeles team fired general manager Billy Eppler a month ago after five seasons and no playoff appearances.
The Angels have been big spenders with very little to show for it.
44-old Matt Arnold is said to be among the contenders for the West Coast G-M job.
Arnold is a do-it-all for Milwaukee, assisting in roster construction and player personnel divisions, financial planning, player development, and both foreign and domestic scouting and analytics and more.
He’s been with the Brewers since October 2015.
