Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director Travis Waack may sound like the proverbial broken record, but he can’t stress it enough to take all precautions to keep others safe and from contracting COVID 19.
“We just want to continue to ask and urge people to avoid crows, avoid family gatherings, parties of any sort,” Waack told SeehaferNews.com. “Really just stay home for all but the most essential reasons right now as we ride this severe peak that we are seeing.”
He repeats the checklist that all should make part of their daily routine. “Keep that 6 foot distance from people,” he reiterated. “Wear a mask, not to protect yourself, but to protect others, because remember, you can be contagious in spreading the virus before you have any symptoms. That mask helps prevent you from spreading it to others. And of course washing your hands and surfaces frequently.”
Manitowoc County is approaching 3,000 confirmed cases with well over half of those remaining active.
