
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 29-year-old man who went missing yesterday morning.
According to Sheriff Dan Hartwig, they were informed of a missing hunter at around 3:20 PM yesterday (Thursday) morning in the Collins State Wildlife Area near the Manitowoc River and West Quarry Road in the Town of Rockland.
Crews have been searching ever since and over night for the man via ground, boat and aerial methods, but as of last word, to no avail.
Those planning on going hunting today are being asked to avoid the Collins Marsh Wildlife area south of County Road JJ between County Highway W and West Quarry Road, as search efforts continue.
