Of the three area girls high school volleyball teams that were in action last night, only top ranked Howards Grove advanced to the Sectional Championship.They topped 4th ranked Iola-Scandinavia 3-0, allowing only 29 points throughout the three game set.
On the bottom half of that Division 3 bracket, #2 Mishicot did not fare as well, as they were swept by Wabeno/Laona in three games. Those winners will now square off in the 3rd Sectional Championship on Saturday.
Meanwhile in Division 2, #4 Valders is out of the tournament after being swept by top ranked Luxemburg-Casco in three sets. They will square off with #3 Oconto tomorrow as well.
