The Manitowoc Public School District approved the 2020-2021 budget at their Board of Education meeting on Tuesday.
The budget was set at $81 million for next year, and the tax levy was set at just over $21 million.
Also, this budget marks the final year of the 2018 referendum, which allowed the District to exceed the annual revenue limit by $3.5 million. Over that time frame, the MPSD’s tax rate has dropped from $8.04 per $1,000 of equalized home value to $7.81 per $1,000.
Superintendent Mark Holzman thanked the voters for their confidence in 2018.
