The Wisconsin men’s hockey team ranked 25th in the preseason USCHO.com poll.
Technically, only 20 teams are ranked, but the Badgers got the 25th-most points.
The Big Ten Conference had six teams in the top 20, with Penn State ranked ninth, followed by number-10 Ohio State, number-12 Michigan, number-14 Minnesota, number-15 Arizona State, and number-20 Notre Dame.
The Sun Devils are honorary members of the conference for this season.
North Dakota is ranked number one.
No formal announcement has been made, but the Badgers’ season is expected to start November 13th. The game time and opponent aren’t known.
