The developer behind a wind farm project in Green County has set aside his plans for a 65-megawatt project.
EDF Renewables has said why the project was called off. There were plans in place for two dozen turbines to be erected in the town of Jefferson near the border with Illinois. The wind farm would have been the sixth-largest in Wisconsin.
Opponents had worried it would affect their property values and health.
Letters have been sent to landowners who signed lease agreements notifying them of the decision.
