The families of Alvin Cole and Jacob Blake say they are joining a “Get Out the Vote” rally in Chicago today (Wednesday).
Cole and Blake are two Wisconsin men who were shot by police officers.
Their families are joining the families of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd in an expressed effort to “unite a community in action.”
Blake is the only one of the four Black people to survive. Jacob Blake Senior says the push will extend beyond next week’s election to hold officials accountable “for ending police violence and promoting health care, education and jobs.”
He says it starts with voting.
