A Manitowoc man is facing his 3rd OWI offense after he allegedly fled from police, and crashed into a parked truck.
The man was seen by police driving without his headlights on at around 1:15 AM Tuesday morning in the 1300 block of Washington Street. The officer attempted to pull him over, but he did not comply.
The 23-year-old man made his way to a residence in the 1000 block of South 19th Street, where he struck a truck that was parked out front.
He continued to press on the accelerator, squealing his tires, and eventually became dislodged from the truck, and pulled into the driveway of the residence.
He was arrested without further incident, and has been charged with his 3rd OWI offense, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance, Operation Without Required Lamps, Driving Without a Required Interlock, and Fleeing or Eluding an Officer.
