Brewers fans have chosen infielder Jedd Gyorko as the team’s most valuable player for the shortened 2020 season.
Playing on a one-year, $2 million deal, Gyorko was really good offensively in a season when very few Milwaukee batters could say the same.
His adjusted salary actually came to a little over $370,000. Gyorko hit .248 and produced an OPS of .837.
His performance paralleled the three good seasons he gave the St. Louis Cardinals in 2016 through 2018.
To keep him, the Brewers would have to decide to pick up his $4.5 million option. The buyout is one million.
