NBA plans to start the next season before Christmas means teams like the Milwaukee Bucks don’t have much time to make their roster moves.
Reports late last week refer to a 72-game schedule with reduced travel.
If the plan becomes official it would mean the Bucks have less than two months to put together a championship roster. The players union and the league are currently negotiating a salary cap, so it is difficult to make any moves right now.
General manager Jon Horst is pressured to improve the team’s roster so that star Giannis Antetokounmpo decides not to pursue free agency next year.
The projected start date for the season was reported as December 22nd.
