A Manitowoc man was arrested this morning after he allegedly strangled and struck his girlfriend.
According to reports from the Manitowoc Police Department, officers were dispatched to a home in the 1300 block of Madison Street an a report of domestic violence. Officers spotted the 33-year-old suspect walking down the street, and detained him while they spoke with the victim.
She claimed that the man, whom she is in a relationship with, had accused her of cheating which caused an argument. The man then allegedly struck her with closed fists multiple times and wrapped his hands around her neck.
He is now facing charges of Battery with a Domestic Violence Order, and Strangulation.
