There is some good news in regards to COVID-19 hospitalization rates from Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director Travis Waack.
Waack says, “In the 10 Northeast Wisconsin Hospitals there are 170 COVID-19 patients with 51 in ICU and 23 ICU beds available. The good news is that we are seeing that number hold steady this week.”
Waack reminds everyone with the weekend here, “Avoid crowds, cancel plans, skip the parties, socially distance, mask up -they work- and help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and if you’re feeling sick stay home and call your doctor.”
Waack adds that it’s imperative that everyone take this pandemic seriously as there’s critical level throughout Northeast Wisconsin and high community spread.
