A 16-year-old Green Bay teen accused of starting the fire that killed her infant nephew last year has been deemed competent to stand trial.
During a court hearing on Wednesday, Marcelia Dolores Flora Fonseca was ordered to stand trial on the charges of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Arson.
Fire crews were called to the 2500 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Green Bay on June 7th 2019 to battle a blaze. The 11-month-old child was found in the home, and was pronounced dead at a local hospital, having suffered burns all over his body.
Marcelia later admitted to starting the fire with the intent to kill the child.
She remains in the Brown County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
