
A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she allegedly strangled her ex-boyfriend during an argument.
According to the police report, officers were sent to a home in the 1200 block of South 20th Street at around 4:45 Wednesday morning on a report of a 911 hang up. The dispatcher said they heard someone say they needed help before the phone call was disconnected.
Officers made contact with the male victim outside the home. He said that he had gotten into a verbal altercation with his ex-girlfriend because he didn’t have any money for her to buy drugs.
He claimed that the woman strangled her, and struck him with a closed fist multiple times.
The woman was arrested on charges of Simple Battery with a Domestic Violence Order and Strangulation and Suffocation.
