Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur says the team will get answers from the N-F-L about a hit on its quarterback.
Aaron Rodgers had apparently given himself up as he dove into the end zone when Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Junior put a shoulder into the quarterback’s stomach.
There was a flag on the play, but it was picked up, and some of Rodgers’ teammates took exception to the hit.
It was ruled that he hadn’t crossed the goal line, but LaFleur still wants to know why the flag was picked up and there was no penalty. The reason it wasn’t a T-D was that Rodgers had given himself up.
The coach says that would suggest there should have been a penalty for Winfield’s hit.
