
K9 Major with the Manitowoc Police Department was called to action early this morning to perform a search of a vehicle.
The police report stated that an officer ran the license plate of a vehicle traveling near Hamilton and South 17th Streets, and noticed the plates were expired. When the officer pulled the vehicle over, he noticed that the 32-year-old female driver was acting suspicious and nervous.
He called for the K9 backup to search the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert from K9 Major. The woman was found to be in possession of about one tenth of a gram of Methamphetamine, as well as several items of drug paraphernalia.
The woman is now facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia.
