An Eau Claire area developer says the city could see new residents as more people leave the Twin Cities. The developer spoke at an Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce event over the weekend and said this past summer’s violence in Minneapolis and the rise of housing costs is leading more and more to consider Western Wisconsin.
Eau Claire is growing with several new developments and apartments going up. The city’s economic development manager said parking could soon become a concern, and the city is exploring several options to accommodate more drivers.
