A Manitowoc man is facing charges after he allegedly beat his girlfriend so badly, she had to be taken to a local hospital.
Officers were called to the Lakeland Manor Mobile Home Park, located at 3910 Waldo Boulevard, at around 1:30 AM this morning on a report of a physical altercation.
When they arrived, officers located the female victim outside, and noted severe injuries. The victim said that she had woken up her 24-year-old boyfriend to have a conversation about why he was out so late, and he responded by striking her repeatedly with closed fists.
Officers noted injuries to her face and had her taken to a hospital via an ambulance.
They then spoke with the suspect, whom they also noted was heavily intoxicated.
He was taken into custody and charged with Battery, with a Domestic Violence Order.
