Those who still need to take a hunter’s safety course before heading out to the woods this year can do so online.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has created the online course to ensure hunters can still participate in the population controlling hunts this year without risking their health with in-person classes.
DNR hunter education administrator Jon King said that the change aligns Wisconsin’s program with those in other states that are also dealing with COVID-19’s impact on in-person instruction.
Those who participate in the class will have to pay a vendor fee of $10.
