An 18-year-old Manitowoc man is now facing charges after he allegedly ran from police.
Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of School Street, and during the stop noticed a black sedan drive by with two people in it that were not supposed to have any contact by a court order.
That vehicle then approached a home in the area, and the 18-year-old male driver begin to yell at a female and male duo in the residence. When confronted, the driver of the vehicle said that he and the male in the residence were talking over Facebook which led to the confrontation. While speaking with the officer, the driver continued to make threats toward the other man.
When the officer eventually determined that the driver was going to be arrested, the man took off on foot onto the 1200 block of North 9th Street and entered a residence. The officers ran after him and set up a perimeter around the home.
He was eventually cuffed and taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest and four counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
