With the Manitowoc County Budget for 2021 currently being worked on and considered by the County Board, County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer says that parks will be a major focus over the next few years.
Ziegelbauer touted the recently completed pavilion at the Maribel Caves Park while speaking with SeehaferNews.com.
“It’s a $400,000 pavilion that we financed from a DNR and Utility grant,” he explained. “The Maribel Caves Park is one of our up and comers that is a tourist attraction for people throughout the state. We are very proud of that, and we are investing money in the restrooms and facilities.”
As for the other parks Ziegelbauer said that the County has “a good base for the programs in the parks, and we will invest more, and spread it around to all the parks in the County.”
Zigelbauer will be presenting his budget to the Board soon, with a vote scheduled for early November.
