Sheboygan Police arrested four juveniles who are believed to be responsible for entering unlocked vehicles in several areas of the city.
The thefts or attempted thefts occurred in the Memorial, End Park and Raider neighborhoods late Saturday evening. Police said some property was recovered from the teens which may’ve been stolen from vehicles.
The Sheboygan Police Department is asking residents of those three neighborhoods and nearby areas on the north side to call them at 459-3333 if they believe they’ve had anything stolen from their vehicle.
Authorities also outlined steps car owners can take to prevent them from being a crime target. The first and most important thing you can do is make sure your vehicle is locked whenever it’s parked, especially if it is parked on the street. Secondly, don’t leave anything of value in your car like phones, wallets, or laptops. Additionally, parking under a street light or in well-lit areas can also help keep thieves from being interested in your vehicle.
