Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Manitowoc Lutheran High School is still pushing to raise money to build a new gymnasium and chapel.
Pastor Norv Koch spoke with SeehaferNews.com recently and explained that this project actually has its roots back in the year 2000. “At that time, because our school was growing, our leadership took a look at the building situation on campus and decided what we needed going forward,” Koch explained. “They identified four different things, and 3 of them are already accomplished. Now here we are 20 years later, and the fourth aspect of that building campaign was to build a new gym.”
The Federation met a couple of years ago to take a look at the project, and decided to proceed with the project, but during the reevaluation process, came up with the idea of adding a chapel as well. Koch said that the fundraising efforts were slowed down quite a bit with the pandemic, but said they are still looking to raise money for the project.
