Following their announcement of the Public Health Emergency, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health has been bombarded with a variety of questions.
One of the big ones was related to the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution, which has experienced a huge outbreak of COVID-19, and people are wondering if that is the reason for the order.
The Division of Public Health said that it is a factor but even if you remove those statistics, Sheboygan County is still experiencing very high numbers of cases relative to the population.
Others feel that those cases are in isolation, but that is not true.
While the inmates do not leave, the 300 staff members do return home to their families, which could cause them to get the virus and spread it to others in the community.
