The Lakeshore Humane Society has several upcoming fundraisers to help raise money for over 1,500 lost/homeless animals in our community each year.
Executive Director Tina Nichols says a pair of “Stuff the Van” events will be held the next two Saturdays.
The first will be held tomorrow from 11 to 3 at Pick “N Save in Manitowoc and the following Saturday (the 17th) from 11 to 2 at the Manitowoc Fleet Farm store.
“We have wish lists at each location that contains items the shelter needs,” Nichols told SeehaferNews.com “We have volunteers that will take the supplies you’ve picked up right out of your cart and load them into the van located right outside the doors or you can choose to do it yourself.”
Also on October 17th, the “Shaggy Shuffle” formerly the “Walk for Kindness” will begin and end at the Humane Society on North Eighth Street. Registration begins at 9:00 am, and walkers will start immediately after registration to allow for social distancing.
Mask wearing is encouraged but not required as the “Shaggy Shuffle” is and outdoor event.
