
The number of negative COVID-19 test results in Manitowoc County is now starting to rise, after several weeks of low returns.
247 tests came back negative in yesterday’s report from the Manitowoc County Health Department, which marked the third consecutive day of triple digit returns in that category.
Another positive statistic is that 15 more people have been listed as fully recovered, which is right on track with the number of new positive cases reported at the bringing of last month.
However, 37 more cases were confirmed yesterday, brining the County total up to 1,467. A total of 860 cases currently remain active, while 602 people have recovered, and 5 have died from complications brought on by the virus. Manitowoc County’s positive return rate has now risen up to roughly 8.8%.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, 198 cases were confirmed over the weekend and on Monday. 63 of those cases came out of the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution, raising that total up to 508.
On the positive side of things, 78 more people have recovered, and 780 negative tests results came back. This brings their pandemic totals up to 2,369 confirmed cases, 295 of which remain active, 1,547 recoveries, 19 deaths, and 40,971 negative tests results.
