Doc Rivers is heading to the East Coast to coach the Philadelphia 76ers.
Rivers left the L-A Clippers after a disappointing exit from the N-B-A playoff bubble.
He will now be in the same division as his former team the Celtics. Rivers led Boston to 2009 -N-B-A title.
Doc played three seasons at Marquette in the early 1980s and was named a Converse All-American in 1982. He was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in 1983 and played 13 seasons in the N-B-A.
