A longtime servant of youth and adults alike in the city of Two Rivers will be laid to rest this weekend.
Bob Bergeon died recently at the age of 85. Judge Mark Rohrer tells SeehaferNews.com that Bergeon, a native of Upper Michigan, was “a great person and left a major impact” on the community. Rohrer said his father, Dick, and Bergeon had worked together for a number of years at the former Paragon Electric Company and the two of them participated in many projects to “make it a better place.”
In fact, Judge Rohrer called his late father and Bob Bergeon the “dynamic duo” of Two Rivers. The Rohrer’s and Bergeon teamed up on a project that became very close to their heart in the annual Wisconsin “Badger Night” at the J.E.Community House to generate funds for the Neshotah Charitable Foundation.
He served the city in various capacities, including Rogers Street Fishing Village, the Lester Public Library Board and the School Board to name a few. Judge Rohrer says something that can’t be forgotten is how devoted he was to his family.
In a touch of irony, Rohrer explained his friend was an Escanaba native and was actually a big Michigan State fan but, he “always wore red” on Badger Night.
Funeral Services for Bob Bergeon are planned for tomorrow at St. Peter the Fishermen Catholic Church.
