Police in Superior say a man is under arrest in connection with the death of his mother.
Officers responded to a home Tuesday morning where they found 49-year-old Cindy Bennett dead of injuries suffered in an assault.
Investigators identified the suspect as Bennett’s son, Robert Bennett III.
He was booked in the Douglas County jail on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide.
Authorities say the incident is still under investigation.
