A federal court is upholding an extension for returning absentee ballots in Wisconsin.
The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the decision by Judge William Conley that extends the amount of time that clerk’s offices will have to count absentee ballots.
While ballots still have to be postmarked by Election Day, clerk’s offices will be required to count them if they arrive up to six days later.
Republicans have attempted to block the move and are likely to ask the US Supreme Court to take up the case.
