Milwaukee Bucks guard Wes Matthews is making the largest-ever gift to the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer Fund.
The Madison native’s donation will help the MACC Fund’s mission of finding a cure for childhood cancers and related blood disorders.
The donation will go to American Family Children’s Hospital and Children’s Wisconsin-Milwaukee to improve the patient, caregiver and family experience.
Matthews said,”as a professional athlete, I feel a responsibility to use my platform to make a significant impact on the communities around me.”
Matthews is a graduate of James Madison Memorial High and played college hoops at Marquette University.
