A commercial property in Appleton had a dryer catch fire on Friday, but only minor smoke damage was reported.
The Appleton Fire Department was sent to the property in the 200 block of North Richmond Street just before 3:00 PM, and when they got there, they saw smoke emitting from the building.
There are several businesses and apartments in the building.
A dryer in the basement was found to be smoldering in the basement, and was quickly dealt with, reducing the amount of damage to a minimum.
No injuries were reported, and a damage estimate was not released.
