The University of Wisconsin Marching Band will not be performing at Badgers football games this fall.
The Big Ten Conference made the decision not to allow bands to participate due to COVID-19.
The Badger Band issued a statement, saying, “performing for the Badger Faithful in the greatest venue in all of college football is an honor and privilege that we do not take lightly. We look forward to a time where we can suit up and perform in support of our team and great institution.”
The marching band’s students were cleared to return to in-person instruction Wednesday.
The Badgers open the delayed 2020 season October 24th against Illinois at Camp Randall Stadium.
