Eric Sogard doubled in what turned out to be the winning run in the seventh inning of the Brewers’ 3-2 win at Cincinnati Tuesday night.
The Reds had scored two in the first on Nick Castellanos’ 14th home run and held the lead until Milwaukee tied the score and went ahead. Orlando Arcia had tied it at 2-2 with a sacrifice fly before Sogard’s critical hit.
Brett Anderson earned his fourth win.
The Brewers have won four-of-five and are in the middle of the race for the playoffs. If they make it, that would be four postseason appearances in a row.
Adrian Houser takes the mound for the rubber game of the series tonight (Wednesday) in the Great American Ballpark at 5:40 p-m.
