Republicans are using words like “unnecessary,” “mind-boggling,” and “dictatorial” in response to Governor Tony Evers extending the statewide mandatory mask order.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos called the governor “lawless” Tuesday, saying the latest order is illegal.
Republican Senate Leader Scott Fitzgerald accuses the governor of disregarding the state constitution with the move.
Both Vos and Fitzgerald are talking about legal challenges to the order, but they haven’t promised any legislative action.
