A Deputy in the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office is now facing charges after he was involved in a wrong way crash which seriously injured an Appleton man.
The incident occurred in April on Highway 441 where reportedly, 39-year-old Jonathan Cvengros of Neenah performed a U-turn on the divided highway and was driving south in the northbound lanes.
He ended up crashing into Michael Nicholson, causing serious injuries.
Reports indicate that Cvengros was not intoxicated or on his phone at the time of the accident or when he performed the U-turn.
He is now facing charges of Reckless Driving Causing Great Bodily Harm, as well as other traffic violations.
