Bail is set at $500 cash for a 29-year-old Manitowoc man facing multiple charges in connection to an incident on the city’s southside last Friday night.
Patrick L. Denson is charged with Strangulation, Threats to Law Enforcement Officer or an Officer of the Court, Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, Resisting an Officer, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping and Disorderly Conduct. An MPD Officer was flagged down by a woman in the 1100 block of South 26th Street claiming she was attacked by her boyfriend.
She admitted they had gotten into an argument, escalating to where Denson allegedly grabbing and squeezing her throat, threatening to kill her and take her children. Police add that Denson resisted officer’s attempts to take him into custody also threatening to kill and rape them the officers, and was violent and verbal towards jail employees. Conditions of bail are that Denson have “no contact” with the victim or residence-report to MPD for photos and prints upon release and maintain “absolute sobriety”
His initial appearance is scheduled for next Monday at 1:30pm.
