If someone would ask you what local company has two, 100,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facilities, you might be surprised to know it is Stecker Machine at 5107 County Road C.
Tom Sprang is the company’s Manufacturing Manager, who told SeehaferNews.com, “We currently have 250 employees, facilities located on the North side of County Road C just off of I-43, and one on the South side of C…We have expanded recently to our Plant 2 operations, and have plans drawn up for another future expansion at that facility. We have plenty of property out here to keep on expanding.”
Sprang explained they’re looking for a 3rd company for expansion, probably he says within a four-hour travel range to grow their operation into another area. That was made possible due to some new customers who have been brought in along with new equipment. One thing they do need is people.
Stecker Machine recently had 17-employee openings in Quality Support, Machine Operators and material handlers. Neighboring CNC Links is scheduled to close late next month, and we asked Sprang if that property may be used for a machine expansion. His response? “At this point in time, that property is unknown how it’s going to move forward. It’s a joining property to us, so we could maybe use it to our advantage.” But, he explained it is a separate entity and currently they have plenty of land at their north facility as well on which to expand.
