Two Manitowoc residents were arrested yesterday evening after they allegedly burglarized a home.
Officers were called to the home in the 1700 block of Lilac Drive at around 8:00 PM on a report of trespassing.
The officers spoke to the caller, who explained that the male and female suspects had moved into the residence several months prior without permission. The home owner explained that she had left town for a few weeks, and that’s when the couple moved in.
When officers spoke with the 43-year-old female and 44-year-old male suspects, they were uncooperative and aggressive toward the officers, but were taken into custody without incident.
They were found to be in possession of items that belonged to the home owner.
The female has been charged with Burglary and Obstructing an Officer, while the male was charged with Burglary as a Party to the Crime, Carrying a Concealed Knife, and six counts of misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
