A Sturgeon Bay Alderman is facing a Disorderly Conduct charge after an incident at a Recall Evers stand over the weekend.
Alderman David Hayes, who is a member of the Democratic Party of Door County, approached the three women running the stand and reported to police that they were operating without a permit.
That was not true however as the women did have a permit and had contacted the Sturgeon Bay parks department and the city to use the space. After an officer arrived Hayes continued to tell the woman that they didn’t belong there and identified himself as an alderman.
As he began to walk away, one of the women called him a bad name, to which he turned around and yelled, “You’re a (expletive)! You want me to grab your (expletive)? Well that’s what Trump would say.”
Hayes was cited for Disorderly Conduct and has a court date set for October 19th.
