Men’s and women’s basketball teams at the University of Wisconsin can start their preseason practices October 14th.
The N-C-A-A is giving teams 42 days to conduct a maximum of 30 practices before the start of the season November 25th.
Guidelines say players can work out up to 20 hours-a-week, four hours-a-day and they must be given one day off each week.
They will have what is being called a “transition period” to get the players mentally and physically prepared between now and October 13th.
That involves strength and conditioning activities, sports-related meetings, and skill instruction.
