Authorities have released the name of the inmate found dead Tuesday morning in the Manitowoc
County Jail as 36-year-old Justin Hall of Manitowoc.
About 7:50 a.m. a Manitowoc County Correctional Officer was conducting routine rounds on the third floor of the jail where it was noticed that an inmate was lying in an awkward position on a mattress and found unresponsive. Life-saving efforts began immediately from multiple entities but to no avail and Hall was pronounced dead.
Hall’s autopsy is still pending and the incident remains under investigation by the Manitowoc and Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Departments.
