
A Manitowoc Police Officer had to draw his weapon to arrest a man in a gas station Tuesday evening.
The officer had seen the suspect walking along Washington Street at around 9:15 PM and recognized him from previous contacts. The officer learned that the man had warrants out for his arrest and turned around to address him.
The suspect was located inside the Tobacco Outlet store on the corner of Washington and South 21st Street, and the officer noticed a folding knife in his pocket. The officer drew his weapon and the suspect complied with orders to put his hands in the air, while a separate officer placed him in handcuffs.
The suspect consented to a search of his person, which revealed that he was in possession of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The 23-year-old man was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on Charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia, Carrying a Concealed Knife, and four counts of Bail Jumping, three felony and one misdemeanor.
