The Wisconsin State Patrol says one person is dead and four other hurt following a crash involving an ambulance in Fond du Lac.
Troopers say a car ran a red light this morning (Tuesday) and hit an ambulance transporting a patient to St. Agnes Hospital. A 21-year-old passenger in the car was ejected and died at the scene.
The Theresa man driving was pinned inside the vehicle and airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The ambulance crew and patient suffered minor injuries. The crash closed an intersection on Main Street in Fond du Lac for more than five hours.
