The S.S. Badger Car Ferry is ending its 2020 sailing season two weeks early.
A post on their Facebook page states that due to low projected ridership volumes the daily trip between Manitowoc and Ludington Michigan will end Sunday September 27th-two weeks earlier than the original end date of October 11th.
The post goes on to say that 2020 Sailing season has been one of many challenges and like most tourism related businesses “we have not enjoyed a profitable year.” The post adds “We are grateful to the passengers who entrusted us to provide a safe and enjoyable travel option.”
Plans are to resume a normal sailing schedule in May of 2021.
