Nearly two weeks into the new school year, the Manitowoc Public School District sent its first letter yesterday announcing a member of the Franklin Elementary School community has tested positive for COVID-19.
The letter, sent to families of students and staff at Franklin, did not specify who the affected person was or their role at the school, however it did say that no students had been affected or deemed a close contact of the affected person.
The school said they plan to follow all COVID related Safety procedure, including a deep cleaning of the affected area.
