No W-I-A-A high school state tournaments are going to be hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison this fall.
The football finals at Camp Randall Stadium had already been wiped off the schedule two months ago, and the decision announced Wednesday would affect the girls’ golf, tennis, and swimming and diving championships.
W-I-A-A Executive Director Dave Anderson says the high schools will have to take a new and different approach to this year’s events.
The university points to the COVID-19 situation in Dane County as a driving force behind the decision.
