Two Milwaukee police officers have resigned over their conduct during an incident June 30th.
They were facing termination based on body-camera video. Acting Police Chief Michael Brunson was critical of the behavior of officers Eric Fjeld and Eric Ratzman as they responded to a burglary call.
Based on an investigation by the department’s Internal Affairs Division, Fjeld and Ratzman faced disciplinary action.
The video footage showed an unnamed 45-year-old homeless man being punched.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney says their actions don’t rise to the level of criminal charges.
