First-degree intentional homicide charges have been filed against a 30-year-old suspect in the fatal shooting of a Milwaukee food vendor.
The death of 52-year-old Emilio Garza was captured on surveillance video August 28th on the city’s south side.
Investigators say Antoine Alphonse Junior had robbed a pizza delivery driver earlier this same day with two accomplices.
Alphonse had fired a shot into the air during the incident and the shell casing recovered at the scene was used to connect him to the shooting of Garza.
Alphonse made his initial court appearance Wednesday.
An autopsy found that Garza had been shot nine times.
